Lauds Plant-Based Foods is the creation of two passionate people, Danielle Wheatley and Simon Paul. We have set out to satisfy even the most discerning cheese and dairy eaters’ cravings by producing dairy-free, 100% plant-based and

lactose-free products. Our products make it possible for consumers to lead a healthier and more ethical lifestyle while still being able to indulge in the foods they love – with less sacrifice for the taste buds than ever before!  



We believe that one of the biggest ways people interact with and impact upon the world is through the food they consume. The creation of Lauds Plant-Based Foods was spurred on by the information revolution we are all now living in.

As our knowledge of the world around us was growing, we saw that for many, patterns of consumption were changing, and we were inspired to change with them - especially in relation to the food we were consuming. We had a problem, though - we still wanted to indulge in the foods we loved and grew up on!  We embarked on a journey of love and discovery, and after a number of years of research and experimentation we bring to you our solution to this problem:  Lauds Plant-Based Foods!



There are many new and wonderful dairy/meat-free niche products. But when it comes to home prepared foods that you miss, like toasted sandwiches, savoury pastries, lasagne, or a table cheese to have with wine and crackers, it is difficult to find alternatives that adequately resemble their traditional counterparts in taste, application and familiarity.  

At Lauds, our most pertinent aim is to help you to create highly recognisable meals that are familiar to you and your loved ones, but which do not contain any animal products. It makes eating healthily so much easier, it tastes great and you'll barely notice to difference!


  • Fermentation, culturing and aging make up the core flavour development process in our cheese making.  As such, the rich, sharp, creamy characteristics of the cheeses are reminiscent of traditional dairy-based cheese.

  • We recognise, acknowledge and strive to produce solutions to the problems many face due to dairy intolerences and allergies.  These are becoming more prominent as the world continues to increase its consumption of dairy-based products, and we want to help.

  • Wherever possible we buy local and organic produce, and do not use flavour enhancers, artificial colours or preservatives.

  • All of our current cheese and dairy-alternative products contain either cashews or almonds. To those with nut allergies, we apologise.                     

  • Most of our products contain varying degrees of our very own Oat Milk Yoghurt as the culturing agent.  Those with coeliac disease or gluten intolerance may not be able to eat our products.


We know that it can be costly to purchase specialty foods.  We really do. We want you to know that we are committed to bringing the cost of our products down as we grow.  We share the ethos that products such as ours need to be accessible to everyone, and not just on special occasions.

In the interests of transparency, we must acknowledge that our products are NOT EXACTLY the same as their dairy-based counterparts… they have characteristic differences in texture, flavour and application.
